The annual water polo tournament will take place at the King Edward VII school pool from 5-9 October and this year has been elevated to a new height.
At the request of the SA Universities, the tournament will also encompass the SA Universities tournament so an increase in the number of universities will be seen. This will be run as a separate tournament within the main event.
Play starts on the Thursday in the evening for those local teams and from Friday play will start at 07H00 on the remaining days. The finals are expected to be held from 14H00 on the Sunday afternoon.
OJ Eagles (pictured) will again be the team to beat. They have won the tournament eight years in a row now and nine times in the last ten years.
Hot food, coffee and Waffles will be on sale as well as drinks. On the Saturday evening the South Africa/All Blacks rugby will be shown so come along see some outstanding water polo and enjoy the vibe at the tournament.
