Remembrance Sunday lunch.

Old Edwardian Society is rich in history.

In my opinion, Old Edwardian Society has had a major influence, through its members, in all aspects of South African life.

At no time in South Africa's history did Old Edwardian members make a greater contribution than during the Great war and the Second World War.

Members gave their all to do what was right.

The School, rightly, always with due decorum, remembers those who fought for what was right and made the ultimate sacrifice.

After the solemn occassion at the School, the Society's caterers, Agdervanic Caterers, have devised a wonderful menu for all those who adjourn to the Society .

Agdervanic Caterers, the Old Edwardian caterers, continues to outperform and provide outstanding meals.

However, please note that the 10% discount given on food and beverages does not apply to the specials.

The prego roll with chilli sauce

Agdervanic Caterers, the caterers at The Old Edwardian Society, always listens to the will of the membership.

It is therefore not surprising that the Caterers have again listened to the members' request to repeat last week's special as the specilal for 3 to 7 December 2018.

The ever popular special is a Prego Roll with Chips and Salad. The 120 gram steak is complimented  by the chilli sauce which lovingly smothers the steak.

Added by a desert of ice-cream that follows the prego roll, the meal is well worth  the amount of

R70.00 as charged for such  meal.

Of course the special does not attract the 10% discount that is generously given by Agdervanic to all Old Edwardian Society members on meals and beverages.

All those attending the Society's AGM on 3 December 2018 (starting at 18H00) are welcome to indulge themselves.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE NINETY FOURTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE OLD EDWARDIAN SOCIETY WILL BE HELD IN THE KINGS TAVERN OLD EDWARDIAN CLUBHOUSE, NINTH AVENUE, LOWER HOUGHTON, JOHANNESBURG ON MONDAY 3^rd OF DECEMBER 2018 AT 18H00.

A G E N D A

1. To confirm the notice of the meeting.
2. To ratify the minutes of the Ninety Third Annual General Meeting held on the 11^th December 2017
3. To ratify the President’s report.
4. To ratify the Executive Committee’s report.
5. To ratify the audited Income and Expenditure Account for the year ended 31^st August 2018 and the Balance Sheet at that date.
6. To ratify the election of members to the Executive Committee.
   
   In terms of the Society’s Constitution. Mr Greg Bortz offers himself for re-election. Angus Mc Kenzie and Colin Webster offer themselves to continue to serve on the Executive Committee.
   During the year Messer’s Raymond DuBois, Nick Icely, Richard Hatfield and Ms. Claire Morgan were co-opted onto the Committee and offer themselves for election.
   
   Messer David Lazer has been nominated to serve on the Executive Committee and offers himself for election.
   Messer’s Neil Darroch, Thabiso Madiba, Gareth Taylor and James Webster have decided not to make themselves available for re-election to the Executive Committee.

7. To ratify the appointment of an Auditor for the current year and to fix the remuneration for the past year’s Audit.
8. To ratify the confirmation of the granting of Honorary Life Membership to Mr. Roy Fritz
